Grace arches an eyebrow at him, though she smiles still. "You really want to risk answering?" she asks. He makes her horribly sentimental, and in the wake of all that's happened, she doesn't mind. It's nice to get to be like this, soft and happy and all wrapped up in him, pretending everything's simple and fine. There's so much to keep herself busy with here, the whole process of finding work and settling in to this new time and place, and little so appealing as letting the past drop away. Even so, she's not about to roll over and be simply sweet. That isn't who she is or who he likes.
