"So am I," Grace says lightly. "I don't know where I'd have gotten another date at the last minute like this." She flashes him a grin, drawing back to look into the bags he's brought her. There isn't anyone else at all she'd want to go with and she's sure he knows that. The way things were before, that was necessity and nothing else, and now that she's here with him, there isn't a man alive she'd want to be with other than the one she's with now. Pulling groceries from the bags, she starts to assemble them on the counter, deciding — partly guessing — where everything ought to go.
