It's been a long day, truth be told. Grace feels as if she's been tromping about town for days, her feet aching as she sits on her bed. Looking for work is hard. She knew that from experience, from the early days in Los Angeles, seeking whatever work she could get to keep herself afloat. It's harder here, though, when she's not altogether certain about how to put together a resume and all of her limited experience comes from another time and place.
The knock at her door comes as a surprise, and it isn't until she hears Jerry's voice that Grace budges, swinging to her feet with a wince. She's exhausted and her feet aren't too happy with her, but it's Jerry and she's not just going to ignore him. Opening the door, she smiles. "What's all this?"
